BEN L. ZARZAUR
Ben is one of our two founding attorneys, and the Managing Partner of

Ben was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1972, and the U.S. Tax Court in 1973. He graduated from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University, cum laude as a Juris Doctor in 1972. Following that, Ben earned an L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1973, graduating number one in his class of over 300 accomplished attorneys.
Ben is an active member of the Birmingham and American Bar Associations, and the Alabama State Bar. In addition, he is a member of the Commercial Law League of America, the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys, and the American Alliance of Creditor Attorneys. Ben is considered an authority in the area of commercial business law, accounts receivable collections, and business and office management. He serves in a leadership role with the American Association of Collection Attorneys and is a member of Leadership Birmingham in recognition of his outstanding service and leadership to his church, his legal profession, and the community.
Ben is frequently a guest speaker at state and national conferences on a variety of subjects related to accounts receivable collections, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, and commercial business law. He is a widely published author, having had several articles published in business periodicals and law journals in the U.S. and Canada.
